Essay

The thesis is devoted to the solving of the topical scientific task - business process reengineering of instrument-making enterprises. The findings of the investigation of the theory and practice of business process reengineering are depicted in the thesis. The comparative aspect of reengineering and other directions of development - restructuring, reorganizing and reconstructing. The classification of business process reengineering has been systematized and supplemented, the interconnection of kinds of business process reengineering according to the financial and production status of enterprises has been suggested. The rule of identification of the kind of reengineering has been developed and described depending on the definite meaning of a complex indicator of effectiveness which is defined on the basis of more advanced methodology of assessment of effec-tiveness of business processes of instrument-making enterprises that is based on the theory of fuzzy sets. The methodology of assessment of comparative effectiveness of the existing and obtaining alternative variants of business processes of instrument-making enterprises as the result of reengineering has been improved. The risk of realization of reengineering of business processes at equipment-building plants is evaluated. The suggested scientific-methodological approaches and models have been tested at Lviv instrument-making enterprises.
