The thesis is the first complex general theoretical study in domestic legal science, dedicated to the comparative theory of state, determination of its status and place in the system of legal sciences. The main approaches to the determination of its nature and status, existing in legal literature, are characterized. Indicated on the diversity of understanding of the comparative theory of state: as a method, as a science and as an academic discipline. Comparative theory of state as a method is one of the main means of knowledge and exploring the state phenomena and processes.
