Nesterenko L. Social and cultural factors of the musical preferences of students in modern Ukraine

Dissertation is devoted to the study of socio-cultural factors in the formation of musical preferences of students - the habit, needs, emotions and feelings. A conceptual diagram of the formation of musical preferences as a prerequisite for cultural practices has been proposed. It has been discovered that the musical preferences are socio-cultural phenomenon, which is an indicator of a certain type of society and is a sign of social and cultural status, characterized by the possibility "objectified" in the varieties of cultural practices. The dynamics of factors in the formation of musical preferences of students has been considered, which has shown the downward change of the value of habit indicators; the relevance of the study of emotions and feelings as a sign of musical preferences has been shown.
