The dissertation is devoted to the deepening of theoretical foundations of innovative financial instruments, and to the definition of directions and risks of their use on global financial market, and to substantiation of development prospects of innovative instruments on the financial market of Ukraine. Theoretical approaches to the interpretation of the term "financial instrument" are generalized. Theoretical basis of innovative instruments of the financial market, the process of their formation and operation are profound. International practice of formation of innovative financial market instruments is studied. The basic directions of use of innovative financial market instruments are discovered. Risks using of innovative instruments of financial market are identified. The features of the functioning of instruments of financial market in Ukraine are found. The influence of of innovative instruments on the financial market and the economy of Ukraine is determined. The recommendations for the introduction of innovative instruments in the financial market of Ukraine are worked out.
