Essay

The research is devoted to clinical and experimental rationale and effectiveness of the LigaSure device during operations on the thyroid gland in patients with euthyroid nodular goiter and toxic goiter. The basis of the clinical part of the work consists of comparing the results of inspections, surgery and postoperative observation of 200 patients who were operated using device LigaSure to hemostasis and the analysis of medical records in patients in an amount 100 during operations which used traditional ligature method for hemostasis. The basis of experimental studies made simulated results removal of one lobe of the thyroid gland 80 mongrel white rats using for hemostasis following methods: ligature method, mono and bipolar electrocautery, LigaSure technology, which was taken for morphological, morphometric studies deleted thyroid share on 3, 7 and 14 day of postoperative period. The work is concluded that the use LigaSure device during operations on the thyroid gland promotes the formation of a reliable hemostasis, does not affect the functional state of the thyroid tissue and having morphological confirmation. According to research found that the use of technology LigaSure unlike ligature hemostasis helps to reduce the duration of operations, reduction of blood loss, length of hospital stay, reduce postoperative complications and reduce the size of surgical approach.
