Dzhupin V. Prognostication, prophylaxis and treatment of inflammatory complications after uterine arteries embolization in case of leiomyoma of the uterus.

The paper deals with prophylaxis of inflammatory complications in women with uterine leiomyoma after uterine arteries embolization. It was found that inflammatory complications in the period after embolization take place mostly in women with multinodular myomas and in case of submucous localization of nodes in combination with chronic anemia and inflammatory diseases of genitals especially caused by elevated concentrations of opportunistic and pathogenic microorganisms and the number of microbal associations. We elaborated algorithm and mathematical model for prediction of inflammatory complications in women with uterine leiomyoma after uterine arteries embolization and presented pathogenically based prophylactic complex that helps lower the risks of these complications and make the course of postembolization period more benign. We elaborated effective complex of differentiated treatment of inflammatory complications after UAE depending on the level of postembolization syndrome and specific features of postoperative period.
