Essay

The dissertation is devoted to solving actual scientific and technical task- the development and improvement of methods and tools for the diagnosis of functional disorders of nasal breathing. The method of determining the aerodynamic characteristics of the nasal cavity, which is based on consideration of the most significant local resistance, that allows to fully consider the impact of changes in the configuration of the upper respiratory tract for computer rhinosurgery planning is described. Further developed a method of analyzing data back rhynomanomety active during forced breathing, which is based on an analysis of peak values of differential pressure and air flow during breathing and their limit values at the transition to the area quadratic drag, which improves the reliability of the diagnosis of functional disorders of nasal breathing is proposed. The method of examining microscopic mucosal surfaces of the upper respiratory tract by computed tomography data subvoxels at a level, that allows the criterion to determine the relative roughness mode air flow in the nasal cavity is proposed. The methods and diagnostic tools in rhinology proved effective in testing of functional disorders of nasal breathing.
