Essay

Object: Internet as the subspace of society. The aim: conceptualization of Internet as the subspace of society which has structural and processual characteristics. Research methods: generalization, analysis and synthesis, comparative historical method, systematization, method of institutional analysis, method of systemic and structural analysis, questionnaire survey, standardized interview on a residence, focused group interviews, software analysis with Google Trends and OSoMe; correlation and factor analysis, methods of meaningful analysis of textual information. Theoretical and practical results: the conceptual bases of research the Internet through the optics of relativistic approach to social space is offered; the features of interaction the Internet as virtual reality with the offline social structures were discovered; the information war technologies in the Internet space in the period of 2013-2016 on the example of Ukrainian-Russian conflict were identified and described; changes in the state of public opinion under conditions of hybrid conflict were discovered through the analysis of the dynamics of search queries and hashtags in social networks. The novelty: conceptualization of Internet as the subspace of society which has structural and processual characteristics. The degree of implementation: the results of dissertation were implemented in the educational process of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University (Starobilsk) in teaching discipline "The Sociology of Mass Communications and Internet" for the students of the II course specialty "Sociology" and "The Sociology of Mass Communications" for the students of the IV course specialty "Advertising and public relations (in the media industry)".
