The solved by means of theatrical activity problem of stammering correction of the pre-school age children is investigated in the thesis work. The levels and features of the children theatrical activity are studied (the creative participation of children in the plot-role-playing games and the extent of communication in them, the tempo-rhythm of movement, the ability to detect emotional distress externally, the ability to govern themselves, the ability to use independently different means of communication which are based on idea and imagination and to design short scenario simulation exercises) in the category of children. The psychological and pedagogical backgrounds of the theatrical activity development are studied in the work. The analysis of the theatrical activity experience and its usage in stammering correction is made. The organization and efficiency peculiarities of the theatrical activities are defined. The studied material was used in the speech therapy groups in educational establishments. The positive results of the experimental work testified its efficiency. The experimental methods of supplying connection between theatrical and other types of activities are studied and applied for the upper pre-school age children with stammering.
