Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the effect of long-term consumption of non-standard drinking water with the excess of mineral salts on the warm-blooded organism and health of the population and the substantiation of preventive measures. The features and main dependences of chronic effect of the combination of non-standard mineral substances (dry residue, general rigidity, sulphates, chlorides) on the warm-blooded organism and health of the population have been established on the basis of the complex ecological-and-hygienic, sociological, experimental, and epidemiological investigations; effect of such a water on the development of separate non-infectious diseases (ischemic heart disease, hypertonic disease, peptic ulcer, gastritis, urolithic disease, pyelonephritis) is presented. Hygienic recommendations on the local drinking water afterpurification directly in the places of its consumption at domestic and collective water purifiers as a reliable measure for the improvement of its quality and prevention of non-infectious diseases have been scientifically substantiated.
