Essay

The purpose of the study is definition of principles of compositional development the regular historical grid plan of Ukraine's cities taking into account the laws of their successive conversion. Object of study is the regular historical grid plans. Subject of research is the laws of compositional development of the regular historical grid plans.Systematizing and classification of research approaches to the objects of urban heritage are defined methods, they oriented to use of comparative and patterning analysis of map and descriptive materials, modeling and experimental design. It analyzed of 23 grid plan of Ukraine's cities and foreign cities, it defined scientific bases of research. Scientific novelty: to the first time the concept "regular historical grid plan" introduced in the scientific turnover, it compositional development reflected particularly stages of formative, complexity and structural - semiotic transformation of stable elements of grid plan; It classified the regular historical grid plans that reflected urban planning specifics of the primary form, architectural-planning characteristics the active elements and reserve areas of the planning composition; It improved methodology of compositional harmonization the regular historical grid plan; It formulated the principles compositional development of the regularities historical grid plan; The questions of cyclical transformation of stable elements got further developed of a composition. Results of the study are introduced in the design works as well as in the educational process of preparation of designers.
