Organizational and methodological principles of diagnostic study are highlighted as far as the tools for comprehensive diagnosis of adolescent assertiveness; analysis of empirical research results of age and individual psychological specifics of adolescent assertiveness is done based on empirical indicators; the most important indicators of integrative nature are distinguished, the specific feature of their display is analyzed based on age. Three groups of adolescents are presented based on the development level of assertiveness and characterized according to the age characteristics of formations and individual psychological differences. Typology of cognitive, affective, connotative display of adolescent assertive behavior is described. Psychological determinants mediating development of assertive qualities in adolescence are explored; social and psychological factors ensuring formation of adolescent assertiveness are distinguished by age and gender. Optimization program of adolescent assertiveness is developed and approved based on gaining experience of effective communication in specially organized ad hoc interaction.
