Essay

The thesis presents a conceptual scheme of social identification based on the cultural codes in daily practices of individual and collective actors. This scheme is a system of interrelated concepts that reflect the main stages of social solidarity and the main types of iconic and symbolic cultural elements that control and regulate daily practices. Solidarity is distinguished as based on shared destiny, shared goals and shared experiences, while cultural codes were divided into normative and evaluative, axiological and semantic, instrumental and practical. In the context of analysis of national or ethnic culture cultural codes can be considered as a phenomenon similar to the central zone of culture and the core of culture, but only limited study of national or ethnic cultural codes has no reason, as there is no reason to ignore the cultural codes in the periphery of culture. According to the results of own poll within prospecting study the author developed an empirical typology of social subjects in accordance with their attitude towards the carriers of different dominant values in terms of daily intuitive ethics and volumes of their inherent various capitals. Besides that, the specifics of subjective social identity have been disclosed on the example of presentation of cultural codes that are characteristic to daily practices of different generations' representatives.
