Matsybok-Starodub N. Artistic model of the world in the Western Ukrainian women's prose of the interwar two decades period (Iryna Vilde, Olga-Olexandra Duchyminska, Daria Vikonska)

The complex research of the features of the Western Ukrainian women's prose of the interwar period has been made in the thesis. The investigation included philosophical and psychological aspects of interpretation the literary work. The dominant problematic and aesthetic peculiarities of 1918-1939 periods literature have been defined in the work. An attempt to significantly expand the scientific understanding of the women's prose of the first half of the 20th century has been made in the thesis by putting into practice little-known texts published in popular magazines. The theoretical and philosophical concepts "view of the world" and "model of the world" have been analyzed in details in the thesis. The concept of artistic model of the world as the writer's unique modeling of available, imagined or desired reality has been represented in the work. This artistic model of the world allows not only for author himself, but also for the recipients emotionally live and learn the experience of the literary characters. The understanding of author's artistic model of the world presented simultaneously on multiple levels, including at the family and household, spiritual and sensual, conceptual and philosophical, has been made for the first time in the Ukrainian literary studies. The details of integral components of artistic models of the world on the background of social and historical realities of the early twentieth century, represented in the thesis, allowed to define the humanistic anthropological focus of the Western Ukrainian women's prose of 1918-1939. The attraction of the Western Ukrainian authors to represent the harmonious image of artistic world of intimate experiences of the characters has been made in the thesis. Also the rhythm as opposition the chaos of contemporary reality and need to construct the ordered artistic world has been represented in the work. The typology of female characters and important philosophical, psychological, cultural and artistic concepts have been examined in the thesis. In particular the transformation of the concepts like artistic discourse, cultural code, national liberation idea and Christian symbols have been explored in this work.
