Ivanenko E. Ecogeographical approach to spatial organization of Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine

An essence of Nature Reserve Fund (NRF) of Ukraine is outlined in the thesis. Historical period of origination of modern NRF is defined. Functions of NRF are systematized by scientific studies, corporate publications and legislative documents consideration. Specific purpose of NRF is formulated and distinguished among others. Main approaches to spatial organization of NRF are analyzed. Experience of representativeness criterion appliance to conservation network evaluation is chronologically reviewed. Comparison of NRF role and the role of other protected area networks (in particular, ecological network) in connectivity restoration is provided. Main directions of NRF and ecological network interaction are marked.
