The results of the theoretical and the empirical study of a formation of the self-image for a preschool age child and a facilitation of this process by means of the dance and game activity were represented in the work. The description of the major dimensions of the self-image (complexity, awareness, consistency and emotional coloration) was given, the types (mature agreed, mature search, complex little conscious coherent, simplified conscious chaotic, complex little conscious search, simplified conscious fixed, infantile fixed, infantile chaotic) and the levels were characterized. It was proved that there is a relationship of the nonverbal expression from the specificity of the self-image. The model of the facilitation of the self-image for a preschool age child was developed with the means of the dance and game activity through the development of a non-verbal expression. The results of the control experiment showed the complication of the self-image and increasing of the conscious level of its content that confirms the effectiveness of the proposed model. The hypothesis that was put forward during the empirical research was confirmed.
