Object - compound sentences with semantic and syntactic compliance subordinate in the Modern Ukrainian literary language; purpose - basing on previous and the author's own studies, to outline grammatical, structural and communicative properties of compound sentences with compliance subordinate as a separate type in structural and semantic classification of compound sentences in the Modern Ukrainian language; methods - descriptive, comparative, structural, contextual-interpretative, pragmatic, statistical (elements); novelty - at first sentences with compliance subordinate were comprehensively described as unique constructions in the system of compound sentences in the Modern Ukrainian language as those that possess features of formal syntactic structure, properly semantic organization and communicative display. It is at first when there was summarized and supplemented information on the sentences with the… the… construction with reasoning of the specific role of the analyzed connecting means in forming of compound sentences with compliance subordinate, and participation of comparatives as determinants of their semantic and syntactic organization in the structure of these sentences, as well as a prove of existence of intersubordinate connection of predicate units; results - the main theses and conclusions of the dissertation extend information about compound sentences with compliance subordinate as a multi language unit with specific determinative subordination and way of connection explicated with the help of conjunctions the… the… the factual and research materials can be used in writing manuals and textbooks on communicative linguistics and syntax of the Ukrainian language for higher schools; the research results can be used as material for creating special courses and seminars on compound sentence syntax, syntactic semantics and semantic pragmatics for students of philological departments; field - syntax, communicative linguistics.
