Object: governance research activities of higher education in Ukraine. Objective: To study scientific ways to improve governance mechanisms in scientific activities of higher educational institutions of Ukraine on the basis of positive foreign experience. To implement the goals and objectives of the study used a set of general and special methods: logical-semantic method of comparison; structural and functional analysis; method of observing others.Results proved innovative approaches to improving the mechanisms of governance research activities of higher education institutions based on decentralization of public administration.
