This thesis presents a comprehensive research into ethnolinguistic and psycholinguistic aspects of family relations nominosystem in the modern Ukrainian language. For the first time in Ukrainian linguistics the study theoretically grounds the linguistic definition of the kinshipnomens. The work also describes the historical typology of the Ukrainian family relationship system, identifies its characteristic features and offers modern categorization of such nomens.
