Essay

This thesis deals with a comprehensive functional and stylistic analysis of poetonyms in M. Matios fiction prose. Such analysis results in reconstructing the individual author's world image with poetonyms being its relevant marker. The research pioneers the study of poetonym functioning within various linguistic means of expressiveness (phonetic, graphic, lexical-semantic, idiomatic, grammatical, and word-formation ones) and proves that poetonyms have a unique potential for stylistic usage.
