The peculiarities of civil protection of informed consent to a medical intervention are determined on the basis of the analysis of domestic and foreign scientific, journalistic sources and the current national legislation. The aim of the thesis is a comprehensive study of the theory and practice of civil protection of informed consent to a medical intervention and establish proposals for the improvement of the current national legislation. The concept and types of a medical intervention for which the law requires informed consent of the patient are defined.
