Essay

The dissertation thesis is the first complex study in national philosophy dedicated to the phenomenon of modern secular humanism. The author analyses philosophical and anthropological ideas and conceptions, which influenced the emergence, incipience and development of humanism. The ideas of three famous humanists were studied in the dissertation: Paul Kurtz, Sorzh Moscovici and Antony Flew. The basis of secular humanism was established by P. Kurtz and developed by his successsors - S. Moskovici and A. Flew. The scientific heritage of P. Kurtz proves that the core of modern secular humanism is the new view on the world, and whose foundations are modern scientific achievements, skepticism and ethic principles, which enabled the emergence of a new teaching - Eupraxofy. Socio-philosophic essence of the concepts "mass" and "mass person" was revealed as well as their socio-humanistic intentions in the context of socio-psychological development of Moskovici's ideas. Major philosophic-anthropological aspects of human rights and freedoms and human nature are regarded in philosophical views A. Flew. It was established that the nature of knowledge takes its own beginnings from human rationality and feelings, and the real free will of people lies in their internal nature.
