Hrosevych N. The genre specificity of Anatoliy Dimarov's novels.

The thesis contains the theoretical interpretation of the genre nature of the novel, description of the peculiarities of the novelistic thinking, elicitation of its major differences from other kinds of artistic thinking. It has been emphasized that the transformation of the novelistic thinking causes the appearance of a concrete-historical type of the novel. On the paradigmatic level of the issue the general laws of development in the modern Ukrainian writing of the family novel, educational novel, social and war novels, genre types represented in A. Dimarov's creative work, have been outlined.The thesis provides insight into the literary perception of the writer's novels and the state of literary criticism. It has been observed that the priority of "ideologically controlling" efforts in the practice of critics and literary scholars has caused peripheralizing the objective scientific interpretation of the prose-writer's novels. The methods and principles of the scientific research have also been described, their complex use in the thesis has been demonstrated, which contributed to the integral and systemic study of A. Dimarov's novels in the genre aspect.
