Sokolovska Y. Iren Rozdobudko Creative Work in the Context of the Ukrainian Popular Literature.

The systematic discourse research of Iren Rozdobudko (one of the most popular modern Ukrainian writers) creative work has been carried out for the first time in literature studies in the context of modern Ukrainian popular literature. The issue and topic complex as well as genre and stylistic peculiarities amid ideological and artistic processes in Ukrainian literature of the late 20th - early 21st century have been investigated. The author's work was analyzed in all aspects, in terms of subject, genre specific, femininity, and narrative strategies.In perspective of feminine prose, the system of female characters of Iren Rozdobudko's prose was analyzed. Iren Rozdobudko puts various types of women as the central figure in almost all her works: a gentle creature with naive eyes, the woman able to make decisions, take responsibility, and sometimes do even men's work. The writer in her works reflects the fate of the modern woman, her knowledge of life, discloses her unique inner world, way of thinking and depth of feeling.Prose of Iren Rozdobudko is characterized by unusually extensive network of genres: adventure detective, psychological and detective thrillers, psychological drama, autobiographical and sentimental and sensual romance novel-allusion, a novel in short stories, political satire, story, travelogue, autobiography, in which writer describes life and its sources in the past and present, trying to understand the time and man, man and woman, as well as their relations. Her works present profound philosophical reflection of not only the universal, but national problems too. The separate analysis is dedicated to the dynamics of novel forms and their genre-specific variations in the Iren Rozdobudko's prose: a novel metaphor, allusion and novel - political comedy of absurd.
