Thesis is developed to holistic concept of constitutional and legal status of the British Parliament, a comprehensive description of this institution and the main approaches for its improvement with current political and legal realities are provided. Systematized conceptual approaches to understanding the constitutional and legal status of the British Parliament and its contents revealed. The changes in scientific understanding and securing the legal status of the British Parliament during the XII-XXI century. On this basis, the regularities of transformation parliamentary model of the United Kingdom. The features of the functioning of the British Parliament in Westminster system of state-powerful government; identified weaknesses in the mechanism of interaction of Parliament with the other branches of government, scientifically grounded recommendations aimed at optimizing this mechanism. The trends of improving regulation methods of forming the British Parliament and their impact on the institutional characteristics of the British parliamentary model are defined. The modern and future trends in transformation of constitutional and legal status of the UK Parliament are showed.
