The thesis is devoted to psychological and pedagogical research of the phenomenon of interethnic tolerance and the conditions of its formation in the training of students of humanities.The paper presents a theoretical study of the phenomenon of "interethnic tolerance", analyses the essence and the psychological structure of interethnic tolerance and selected components in the psychological structure of interethnic tolerance, cognitive, emotional, personal, conative and ethnic oriented that have such levels of display: gnostic, affective, motivational valuable, behavioural and identification.The cognitive component (gnostic expression level) includes complex of knowledge about interethnic tolerance: knowledge and understanding of mental composition of ethnic groups; knowledge and understanding of ethnic stereotypes and ethnic conflict and national character. The cognitive component associated with the process of collecting and systematizing knowledge about tolerant culture as one of the core values.The emotional component (affective expression level) is the external manifestation of interethnic tolerance comprising: emotionality, which is the ability to overcome irritability, inconsistency, exercise restraint, self-control; self-control and self-regulation of emotions; and while self-working it is expressed in empathy.The conative component (behavioural expression level) is the general and specific communication skills that allow you to make successfully contact with the talker, to discover adequately the inner states, manage the situation of interaction with it includes communication; communicative tolerance; communicative instruction.
