Essay

The problem of the High School chorus conducting teaching has been developed in the thesis. The chorus singing is stated as collaborative vocal-tonal activity based on the synergy principle, which is stipulated by the esthetic, communicative, artistic, consolidating and spiritual-therapeutic functions of the musical art. The chorus singing is represented by three strata of the complex organized activity: a) extra personal synergy of the participants' vocal action which is shown in the pitch, mode, harmony and other musical features; b) intrapersonal synergy (or auto synergy) id. est. the conductor's coordinated "inner" (mental, authoritarian, communicative") and "outer" (gesture, voice, mimics) actions; c) interpersonal synergy, which means the singing and conducting systemic union. This thesis treats the chorus conducting as a compulsory element for music teacher's professional competency and, thus as one of the most important teachers training tasks. It is defined as the system of skills, knowledge and abilities, which is necessary (and enough) for the students' chorus singing directing. The theoretic teacher's chorus conducting ability model was designed. It includes the following: a) vocal skills; b) conductor's gesticulation, c) musical mentality; d) authority; e) energy potential; f) sociability and the most significant one - intractability, as this very skill enables the conductor to reach the voices synergy. The task of formulating and experimental approbating of the method for future music teachers' chorus conducting mastering was fulfilled. Its peculiarity is in its orientation on the teacher's personal potential auto synergy and interpersonal synergy in the choir and the conductor's activity. This method is based on the competency, synergistic, praxeological approaches; on the principles of the cultural correspondence, of the pedagogy of collaboration, problematic teaching, and didactic game. The ideas and principles of the traditional Chinese pedagogy were also taken into account, namely the concepts of "dao", "chzhun he", "the golden mean", "tai tsi", as well as the principles of humanic directing and wise inaction. The main conditions for the developed method implementation are the understanding of the essence of the chorus singing synergy, the search of your own way to achieve the persona potentials and the intra personal synergy unanimity; the student's and the choir communicative obstacles removal, the choir singers motivation, the chorus conducting subjects method coordination. The developed method was approbated during the forming experiment. The methods aimed at formation and mastering of the skills, knowledge and abilities presenting the basis of intra personal synergy (vivid declamation, style conflict, impromptu demonstration, "tai-tsi" exercises) were applied at the first stage (auto synergy). The second - interactive - forming experiment stage included a complex of multimedia teaching methods, didactic games, a conductor's improvisation method. This experiment confirmed the thesis theoretical propositions and certified the developed method efficiency.
