In the thesis the general regularities and specific features of term of the civil contract are investigated. It is defined the legal nature of term in civil law and the place of term of the contract in system of civil terms is found out. Division of civil term to destination on regulatory and security is offered. The general and special signs of term of the civil contract are allocated and his concept is formulated. Features of term as conditions of the civil contract are revealed. The ratio of term of the civil contract and a date of performance of the contractual obligation is established. It is opened an order of determination of term of the civil contract, depending on specific accessory of the contract. Momentary contracts and an order of determination of their term are characterized. The bases and consequence in law of change and termination of term of the civil contract are established. Offers and recommendations about improvement of legal regulation of the relations with the term of the civil contract are formulated.
