For the first time in Ukraine, we determined the acute toxicity (2050±804.62 mg/kg) of the new veterinary drug Danoksan-50 and found residual amounts of Danofloxacin mesylate in organs and tissues of white laboratory mice and in slaughter products of broiler chickens. We determined the period of withdrawal of Danofloxacin mesylate from thigh muscles, chest muscles, the heart, the ventriculus and determined that trace amounts of antibiotic did not exceed the permitted levels under EU directives 37/2010 on 120 th hours after the last administration. Use of the drug Danoksan-50 at a dose of 0.1 ml/kg body weight of broilers adversely affects to the performance output slaughter broiler carcasses at the 24th hour and the weight of the edible, including a lot of heart at the 96th hour after the last administration. It was established that the drug Danoksan-50 when used in a dose of 0.1 ml/kg body weight of broiler chickens leads to reduction of the moisture content in the pectoral muscle in the 24th and 72th hour, to increase the protein content at 24, 48, 72 and 96th hour to an increase in dry matter content of 24, 72, 96th hour after its last use.
