Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the substantiation of the positive impact of therapeutic repeated transcranial magnetic stimulation for intensity and duration of headache, frequency of migraine attacks, depressive manifestations and quality of life based on statistical analysis of results of treatment of 51 patients with migraine. The main areas of stimulation of the cerebral cortex - the left primary motor cortex and the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex by which all patients divided into two groups. Also, a comparative analysis of the effectiveness of transcranial magnetic stimulation depending on the type of migraine pathogenesis. Revealed that therapeutic repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation positively affect key components of migraine attacks - headache intensity, frequency and duration of attacks. Headache intensity on a scale VAS, attack duration and frequency of seizures was significantly (p <0,01) reduced after the application of high-rate subthreshold repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation. It is proved that the use of subliminal high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation significantly (p <0,01) improves the quality of life of patients with migraine, increased daily activity and performance. Found, that the usage of high frequency (5 Hz) repeating (10 sessions of 10 minutes 1 time per day) subthreshold (90% of motor threshold) transcranial magnetic stimulation significantly (p <0.01) reduces the severity of depressive manifestations in patients with migraine.
