Essay

This thesis, for the first time on a national scale in religious studies, carried out a comprehensive analysis of the axiological nature of religious and educational discourse in context of globalization and the information revolution and detected the main problems the interaction of education and religion in modern educational space of Ukraine. Reveals that the system of values included in the core of the personality and serves as the ideological basis of all areas and aspects of vital activity, including religious and educational. The problem of moral and spiritual development of the personality, the choice of values is especially relevant in the era of globalization. Before religion and education important goal is the formation of hierarchy of values that affects primarily on models of behaviors identity and life choices of personality. The hierarchy of values is treated as the specifics of consciousness in which identity is formed. It is proved that in the study of values and religious education should use the following methodological approaches. Christian personalism is a profound reflection on an integral concept human personality and its value. Tischner’s phenomenological conception of axiological I defends the everlasting, important values the personality as such, but the experience of own I as a certain value (aksjos) considers the most fundamental experience which can “derive” other I. The necessity formation of axiological bases of religious and educational discourse on the basic principles of interreligious dialogue, consensus and tolerance is substantiated. The basis for interconfessional dialogue must be humanocentrism as a leading value of contemporary religious and educational discourse, resulting in improving the human development of its spiritual qualities and moral virtues. The pro-ecological education in generalizing the concept ecologia humana, which is an attempt to universal problems for environment and human life is highlighted. The religious and educational discourse should be designed to spread universal humanistic values and intercultural communication skills, respect for the other in modern conditions. Effective inter-religious dialogue should be brought up on the basis of axiological paradigm of tolerance, love and respect. Promotion of humanistic values of religious and educational discourse helps self-knowledge and vision axiological I of another person.
