Kharchuk L. The Formation and Systemic Organization of the Ukrainian Electric Power Engineering Terminology System.

In the thesis, the features of the development of Ukrainian electric power engineering terminological system are considered, its origins and ways of the development are determined, and the periodization is presented, with the influence of linguistic and extra-linguistic factors taken into account. In the manuscript, the structure of the term area of the electric power engineering terminology is defined, its thematic classification is carried out, the paradigmatic relations (the phenomena of synonymy, antonymy, polysemy, etc.) are analyzed, and the structural and grammatical features of electric power engineering terms are considered. The main violations of the language norm at the lexical and word building levels in nominating notions of the electric power engineering field are identified, and the proposals on the improvement of some Ukrainian electric power engineering terms in accordance with the modern Ukrainian language norms are justified and formulated.
