The thesis is devoted to the regularities study of separation processes of slime with a polydisperse solid phase in decanting centrifuges. The effect of concentration and dispersion composition on the strengs of floccules to mechanical influences has been studied. It has been established that the rate of precipitation of floccules after mechanical exposure at a constant flow rate of the flocculant has a maximum. The strength of flocculi increases with an increase in the fraction of 40-100 mkm in size of more than 15 % and decreases with an increase in the concentration of the solid phase of more than 140 g per cubic decimeter. Changes were made in the design of the centrifuge that reduce the destruction of floccula in its hydraulic path.
