Boborykin O. Features of development of urban waterfronts (examples - cities of Ukraine along the Dnipro river)

The thesis is devoted to research of features of development of urban waterfronts that have undergone evolutionary transformation from engineering structures intended to reinforce the floodplain to a traffic road to the waterfront - a multifunctional urban architectural space. It has been ascertained that principles of architectural and spatial organization of embankments are of evolutionary nature of development following the algorithm: basic principles - principles of transformation - principles of harmonization. It has been ascertained that the model of architectural and spatial structure harmonization is well balanced and based on principles of poly-functionality, space poly-dimension and sustainable environmental development.
