The object is the Internet. The aim is to reveal the transformational influence of the Internet on the religious culture of modernity. The methods of investigation are - interdisciplinary synthesis and system analysis, historical-typological, cultural and anthropological, socio-cultural approach to the formation of electronic networks in the communication processes of modern society and the influence of electronic space on cultural-religious processes. The theoretical results and their novelty. Complex and contradictory processes of transformation of religious culture in modern society under the influence of the latest information technologies are traced.
