The object is the Internet. The aim is to reveal the transformational influence of the Internet on the religious culture of modernity. The methods of investigation are - interdisciplinary synthesis and system analysis, historical-typological, cultural and anthropological, socio-cultural approach to the formation of electronic networks in the communication processes of modern society and the influence of electronic space on cultural-religious processes. The theoretical results and their novelty. Complex and contradictory processes of transformation of religious culture in modern society under the influence of the latest information technologies are traced. The regularities and specific features of the formation of new emphases in the understanding of the communicative component of religious culture, virtual religious experience, the Internet as a cultural environment, where dialogue is held between believers and religious denominations, the influence of Internet technologies on religious practices of believers of the Internet users, theoretical and the methodological base of philosophical and anthropological and philosophical and cultural studies of the space of modern culture. The scientific novelty of the research results obtained is to substantiate the complex and multidimensional nonlinear influence of the Internet on the transformational processes of the religious culture of the present, which, in turn, predetermine the emergence of new forms of virtual communication. The practical value. The main provisions and conclusions of the dissertation will contribute to a better understanding of the ways of forming the religious culture of the present, and can also be used in teaching religious culture issues in the courses "Philosophy of Culture", "Cultural Studies", "Religious Studies", "Philosophy of Religion".
