Harkusha A. Criminal liability for beating and torture

The thesis has improved theoretical provisions of criminal law in part of responsibility for beatings and torture, and has elaborated scientifically based recommendations to improve the relevant legal provisions and practice. It has been proved that if the commitment of beatings or torture the victim is caused of physical and moral damage through attacks on both human health and his/her honor and dignity. Victims of beatings and torture are often individuals who had previously been familiar with the criminal. There are proposals to improve the dispositions and sanctions of art. 126 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
