The thesis is considered to be a comprehensive research of the institute of procedural compulsion measures in civil proceedings. The analysis of the state of scientific development of the issue of procedural compulsion measures in civil proceedings has been carried out, the methodology of the relevant research has been outlined and the evolution of the legal regulation of the institution of procedural compulsion measures in civil proceedings of Ukraine has been traced. The concept and essence of procedural compulsion measures in civil proceedings of Ukraine have been established; their classification has been carried out and the general legal grounds of their application have been established.
