The dissertation thesis defines the substantive content of the land of settlements in the context of sustainable spatial development. The author substantiates the conceptual provisions of the formation and ecological economic provision of the sustainable land use system in settlements. The present state and socio-ecological economic efficiency of the settlements land use are analyzed. The methodical approach to the assessment of the status of the territories of settlements has been improved. The toolkit of the ecological and economic mechanism of sustainable land use in settlements have been improved. The scientific and methodical approach to land use planning in settlements is substantiated. Methodical approaches to economic modeling of external effects from housing construction in the system of payment for land use development are developed.
