Khlabystova K. Institute of lustration: constitutional and legal principles of regulating and its improving

The dissertation is devoted to the study of features of constitution and law regulation, the prospects of improvement institute of lustration. It describes theoretical and methodological framework, the nature of the institution, its principles, types and mechanisms of implementation in Ukraine and several European countries. In the theoretical aspect of the research of lustration, it is important to study the history of this category and its contents. Institute of lustration has passed a long way of development and acquired different interpretations, as the ancient rituals, as fiscal and statistical function of the state, as a special test for civil servants or political censorship. Existing of critical approach to axiological component of lustration that compares cleaning of the power with political censorship and proscription, caused to review the procedures of ostracism in ancient Athens, proscription and decimation in ancient Rome, in the context of lustration mechanisms.
