Essay

Based on the results of complex clinical neurological examination using international questionnaires adapted for SF, and psychological study of 160 patients and patients with RRMS and SPMS the following issues were studied: prevalence of SD (48,7 % of MS patients are light disorders, 36,2 % of patients - moderate and in 15.0 % of patients - severe disorders); structure and features of SF violations in this category of patients (men often have reduced libido and EF (80-100 %), less often- reduced orgasmic function (24-52 %) and female patients often experience anorgasmia (90-100 %), decreased libido and arousal (71-94 %), a third of female patients experience vaginal lubrication decrease). Based on the results of the analysis it was established for the first time that the main factors that cause SF decline of female MS patients are neurological deficiency level and cognitive dysfunction. The signs of anxiety and depression, fatigue and urination disorders mostly affect SF of women with RRMS. For the MS male patients such factors are the neurological deficiency and fatigue. Anxiety disorders and depression have a greater impact on SF of men with RRMS; cognitive and urination disorders - on of the male patients with SPMS. In addition, these factors negatively affect the patients' partner relationships. The threshold factors for prediction of SF dysfunction development of the MS patients were established. Found reverse correlation between the foci of demyelination via brain MR data and behavior indicators and SF sexual partner for the patients based on gender identity
