The thesis highlights a set of theoretical and practical issues related to the coverage of the criminological characteristics of lootings in Ukraine and the development on this basis of proposals to improve measures to prevent them in Ukraine. The work reveals the state of research and methodology of studying the prevention of looting in Ukraine, the historical and scientific genesis of criminal responsibility for looting, the concept of "looting as a criminal legal phenomenon", its main features and formulated its own definition of this concept, as well as the criminological characteristics of lootings and systematized them Determinants.
