The object: Ivan Bilyk's novels "Tango" (1968), "The Sword of Ares" (1972), "Golden Fish Birthday" (1977), "Dronning Maud Land" (1982), "The Funeral of the Gods" (1986), "The Golden Ra" (1989), "Ravine" (1958-2008), trilogy "The Scythians", "Wild White Horses" (1989), "Do not Annoy Gryphons" (1993), "King and Servant" (1992). Aim: analyze the identity poetics of Ivan Bilyk's novels. Methods: cultural, historical, structural and semiotic, hermeneutic, biographical, historical and comparative methods. Results, novelty: first time stages of scientific knowledge of Ivan Bilyk's works were defined; artist's poetic prose from system approach point of view was characterized; features of genre syncretism in works of artist's were accented; analyzed images of characters and psychology of the character creation in the context of contemporary literary theories; time-space, the whole complex of Ivan Bilyk's novel titles. Field of application: History of Ukrainian literature second part of the XX century, programs, courses and special seminars and material for textbooks.
