Didyk N. The rationale for the hygienic standard of the magnetic field (50 Hz), which is created by cable power lines in populated areas (experimental studies)

This study reveals the features of the 50 Hz magnetic field bioeffects and the justification of hygienic standards for public use of 50 Hz magnetic fields generated by electricity transmission lines in populated areas. Features and severity of functional impairment of metabolic systems characterized as a reaction of the body on magnetic field depending on the level and duration of the factor. 50 Hz magnetic field promotes violations in antioxidative and oxidative processes in the body that can stress magnetic field adaptation mechanisms. The magnetic field of industrial frequency 50 Hz causes changes in the behavioral reactions of animals. The observed changes in behavioral parameters which characterize the central nervous system response to the impact factor of magnetic allowed to classify the responses as a general nonspecific adaptive reactions. Based on the biological effects of 50 Hz magnetic field on the body of the animals reasonable hygienic standards of 50Hz magnetic fields can be postulated for human use at the areas of different functionality.
