Polozova O. Complex conjunctional sentences of asymmetric structure in Modern Ukrainian language

The subject of the research is compound and complex sentences of Modern Ukrainian language. The aim of the research is to identify the circle of complex conjunctional sentences of Modern Ukrainian language with formal and meaningful asymmetry of qualitative and quantitative types. The methods used in the research are both general scientific ones (analysis, synthesis, generalization, classification) and specific ones that is description, transformational analysis, oppositional analysis, contextual analysis, and also some elements of linguistic cognitive and linguistic pragmatic paradigms. The novelty of the research is the first integrated characteristic of asymmetric complex conjunctional sentences in native Ukrainian syntactic science based on theoretical construct of qualitative and quantitative types of formal and meaningful asymmetry. This adds up to the conception of systematic syntactic structure of Ukrainian language as the way of verbalization of integral conceptual space of language community. The peculiarity of some types of complex conjunctional sentences is clarified which makes it possible to identify their place in structural and semantic classification more precisely. The result of the research is the possibility of application of this material for creating grammar books of Modern Ukrainian language, writing textbooks for higher educational institutions, teaching the course of syntax of Modern Ukrainian standard language at philological departments of higher educational institutions. The field of the research is linguistics.
