Essay

The object is the sentences with relation of nomination in the Modern Ukrainian language; the aim is a comprehensive study of the utterances with relation of nomination, taking into account their peculiar semantic organization and the possibilities of its realization in various types of sentences, as well as in the aspect of their pragmatic orientation, which is fully realized in the specifically organized contexts; methods - descriptive, propositional, transformational, method of pragmatic analysis, lingual-contextual; the novelty - for the first time a systematic analysis of one of the logical-grammatical types of utterances which is called the utterances with relation of nomination; the utterances with relation of nomination functioning in the different types of syntactic structures in the Modern Ukrainian language are characterized by anthropocentric direction and communicative-pragmatic orientation. Their lexico-semantic and formal-syntactic characteristics were determined for the first time; the interaction of relation of nomination with other types of logical-grammatical relations was investigated. The realization of the pragmatic potential of the utterances with relation of nomination in specifically organized contexts of speech is described from the point of view of communicative strategies and tactics; results - the main points and conclusions of the thesis complement the theory of logical-grammatical types of the sentence; the materials of the work can be used for preparing of special courses and seminars on semantics and pragmatics of language units, text linguistics, for writing of course and diploma papers; field - linguistics.
