This paper deals with theoretical and methodological foundations of the forestry lands sustainable exploitation. The author has explained the nature of the concepts "sustainable exploitation of lands", "forestry lands sustainable exploitation" in the context of Forestry. The author has analyzed an international experience of sustainable exploitation of lands within the Forestry. The principles of formation of ecological and economic mechanism on forestry lands sustainable exploitation were substantiated . The author has defined indicators and criteria of providing sustainable exploitation of forestry lands. Ecological and economic evaluation of the effectiveness in exploitation of the forestry lands in the region has been accomplish ed . The author has assessed losses from unsustainable use of forest lands. The author has suggested directions for improvement of organizational and legal component of the forestry lands sustainable exploitation. The ecological and economic mechanism of the forestry lands sustainable exploitation has been improved.
