The work analyzes the art tools and techniques of composition of Ukrainian spectacular poster of the first third of the twentieth century.The current database,which is based around five hund- red samples of poster art,has allowed to explore language and figurative expressive Ukrainian features of spectacular poster to communicate his artistic language with world and European models.Comparative analysis revealed graphic works of art and principles of design of Ukrainian spectacular poster of the first third of the twentieth century,similar to contemporary graphic design.This helped clarify the meaning of"spectacular poster"in the design.Study of poster forms allowed divided them into groups corresponding to the types of images of different compo sitional dominant.Introduction to art-circulation design"units"systematization tracks poster is a step towards national classification models of previous periods.
