Khorob S. Genre Peculiarities of the Ukrainian Speculative Fiction of the End of the XXth - the Beginning of the XXIst century

Object: was such narratives and novels by Daniela Andrusch, by T. Antypovych, by Volodymyr Arieniev, by O.Berdnyk, by Maryna and Serhiy Diachenky, by V.Yeshkilev, the collection of short prose Ya.Melnyk, by H.Pahutiak, V.Savchenko, by Yu.Shcherbak. Aim: of the research is to carry out an integral analysis of the contemporary Ukrainian writers' prose through the prism of a fantastic metagenre. Practical value: the statements of the dissertation may be used for the studying of the history and theory of a fantastic fiction, first of all, Ukrainian one, and also during the preparation of appropriate study guides or special courses about the modern national literature. Methods: historical-literary, receptive aesthetical, elements of hermeneutics, semiotics, structuralism, mythology criticism.
