Kulyk K. Criminological characteristics and prevention of corruption of minors in Ukraine.

The research in the thesis is focused on corruption of minors, its criminological nature, solving the complex of theoretical and applied problems related to the prevention of this negative social and legal phenomenon. The thesis provides criminological characteristics of corruption of minors as a social and legal phenomenon, and investigates the historical experience of counteraction to corruption of minors in Ukraine and in the world. The current state, trends and level of latency of corruption of minors are determined based on quantitative and qualitative indicators. The personality of the offender, who commits the child sexual abuse, is investigated according to basic socio-demographic, moral and psychological, personality-role and criminal legal traits, characteristics of legal and moral consciousness, mental disorders. The typology of these persons based on criterion of task orientation illegal behavior is suggested. The structure of determinants that stipulate corruption of minors is considered. The role of a specific life situation in committing the crime is defined and the personality of victims is investigated. Main directions of preventing the corruption of minors in Ukraine on social, specific criminological and individual levels is proposed.
