Boyko M. Agro-biological substantiation of the elements of grain sorghum production technology in the Southern Steppe of Ukraine

Object of research - processes of growth, development and formation of grain productivity, economically valuable signs and qualitative indices of the yield of hybrids of grain sorghum, depending on the technological methods of cultivation that were investigated. The purpose of the research is a comprehensive study of the scientific and practical foundations of the formation of productivity, characteristics of growth and development, adaptive properties and competitiveness of plants of modern hybrids of grain sorghum. Methods of research - historical; Field short-term two and three-factor experiments; Laboratory; calculated; statistical; Calculation-constructive, forecasting and modeling. Research results - For the theory: The substantiation of scientific principles and practical recommendations for the solution of the scientific problem of the development of separate technological methods of growing hybrids of grain sorghum, expansion of the nomenclature of alternative grain crops of the late spring group, and as a consequence, the productivity of agrolandscapes of the Southern Steppe zone and provision of raw material of the domestic grain subcomplex . For the practice: Scientific provisions and practical aspects, conclusions and suggestions reflected in the dissertation work are aimed at improving the processes associated with the formation of grain productivity of sorghum plants in the unsustainable conditions of the Southern Steppe. The scope of use is agricultural enterprises in the south of Ukraine.
